TM 1703 ACP - IEC 60870-5-101 Master

phamlamth Regular Member Joined: 1/3/2012 Last visit: 1/10/2025 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I know it's Siemens automation forum, and my question should be on Siemens Energy forum or somewhere else, but somehow I can't find this place. So in my situation I just think it's acceptable to place my question here and hopefully you guys can help me out of this. I wanna use TM 1703 ACP (CP 6014) as data gateway, this mean: I will use one serial port of SM 2551 as IEC 60870-5-101 Master (UMPMA0) I will use other serial port of SM2551 as IEC 60870-5-101 Slave (UMPSA0) The master port will get data from IED using IEC 101 protocol, and share the data to all other IEC 101 Slave port to as many Dispatch center as it can (maximum is 3 I think). I was thinking that I will created my data type, but I can't find suitable LNK data type to assign the image to LK_SSE: SM2551/UMPMA0. So I guess I give up on this point. Can you guys show me the way to finish my task as above? I use SAT Toolbox V4.10 and fully update using Live update function. Thank you so much and best regards, Lam Pham

I put in attachment UMP98 description. In this description you can find that they developed this firmware for connecting other RTU via IEC 101. Try using UMP98. I tried to use UPM98, but soon leave it out because it's applied for SM-2541. Mine is SM-2551. I also tried to use UPMAM1, but it's template parameter only got one type: it's Receive modem detail routing type. If I make it right, I think I can't create signal type (TI) like single point or double point because it's type do not support it. I make a contact to siemens energy support, and they said I can use topology to pass data from one PRE to others with 02 option: - Selective flow will need the creation of image - Automatic flow will need to dataflow filter for data to "flow" I was make it successfull test signal using selective flow, but there's some minor things that I still not satisfy with: - The IEC 101 Slave periodically send Interrogate with common address 252 or 255 (30 second or so) which make the connection not fully working properly. Please check my attached image - The IEC 101 Master send General Interrogate command with common address 255 instead of my station address. I didnt take a screen shot, but i think you understand what I mean. Even I put blocking filter in AU system technique, the message still appear... So stand at my point of view, my signal test is okay. But I still hope you can take a look about my case if possible. There's diagnostic and configuration file of mine attach with my post. But if it is working for youwith Selective it is ok. I understand your problem. Slave sends GI which is not common. For me only master should send GI. This you can disable in topology. In attachment I put screen shots. There is also one more option you should disable. (also in attachment). I had problem when slave sends GI master stops communication. Maybe you could try this.
