TM COUNT 1x24V to measure RPM

Dear Team,

        I Have this TM COUNT 1x24V Module with ET200SP, I Need to measure RPM. From Field I Am getting only One pulse signal from the Motor Encoder. So, I Configured the Module as Pulse (A) Type. 

In the Module, I can see the Signal (A) Pulse Signal. But in the DI Bits, only STS Ready Signal I'm Getting. The Count Value, Measured Value, Captured Value are remains Zero.

Kindly Suggest some ideas for configuring the TM Count 1x24V Module, to measure the RPM, using Pulse A Signal Alone.

do you parameterize the DI of the module? (set function of DI)
If not then your counter don't start, because the DI0 is for control the gate - start/stop.

  I'm using PCS7 9.0 SP2, for Software gate Configuration, is there any Technology block available?. 

  Since there is no wiring connection available for DI Channels in the module. So, I've configured all DI Channels as "Digital Input Without Function". 

Is Hardware Gate Configuration is mandatory for Calculating the RPM using Pulse A Signal?.

Please suggest mandatory wiring option for calculating the RPM using this Module.
