Good morning forum im kinda stuck on this one, my client wants to use his s7-1200 to send him an email if theres something wrong with his machine so after studying up on the matter and searching the forum it seems that its not an easy thing to do.

I need to get this working today so ill be on it all day, so far i have downloaded an example that i found from the forum (https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/e-mail/67185?page=0&pageSize=20) and on the basis of that im trying to send an email from outlook to gmail.

My main questions are:

*Where it says ADDR_MAIL_SERVER what do i have to put in there, the address from the router or the wan address?

*Where it says username and from, whats the difference from the two?

Any help on the matter will be apreciated

ADDR_MAIL_SERVER should have the SMTP-Mail-Server of your mail provider. 

USERNAME is the Username you use to log in to your Email account. 

FROM needs a string with an E-Mail adress, like: <admin@mydomain.com>

 Good morning mopS04 thank you for your rapid responce, im using outlook after looking up what the server is it says smtp-mail.outlook.com but the examples ive seen they have been in hex, the rest is now clear more or less but the server im still not sure on do i put smtp-mail.outlook.com directly in or do i change it to hex?

you need to type in IP-adress of smtp.outlook.com in hex
