Hi, in 2019 we got a supply of a CPU 1510SP F-1 PN and with IPC277E 12'' Touch PN/IE programmed with TIA Portal 15.

Recently another external partner applied some modification to the PLC using TIA Portal 16 and added some variables (tags) to the HMI device (not more than 10).

After modifications we started to have an error message indicating:

"Too many variables (powertags) in the project. Wincc runtime advanced 128 power tags v.15.0"

The system is indicating that we actually have 83 tags defined on the WinCC RT.

Actual Version of WinCC installed on the IPC277E is WinCC Runtime Advanced 15.1 but I can't find any tag limitation on that.

I can't understand wich kind of license we need to buy to fix the message and if this should be installed on the IPC277E 12'' Touch PN/IE or on the PC of the programmer that made the job before compiling the program.

Hi,

first, you should determine how many PowerTags the project uses. This will be found inside the TIA Portal when selecting the WinCC RT Advanced in the project tree and select "Properties…" in context menu. The required information will be displayed at "General ▸ Information".

128 PowerTags is the smallest possible license. If this license is already used and not sufficient, you can upgrade to the next possible amount 512. This would be possible using 6AV2104-2BD00-0BJ0.

actually this is the matter.

The WinCC RT proprierties shows that only 83 tags where used so I suppose it is a problem of corrupted memory.
