Doesn't work here either... in any of the Siemens library objects... it's gotta be some little checkbox somewhere... probably something very obvious I'm missing... P.S. - I have v6.2 SP2 here too... but it's from the PCS 7 v7 installation... nothing else in the project, just this screen...

But since Danielle also reported that her PCS7 WinCC installation (where APCgets installed automatically)has same problem, I feel it has got something to do with the Windows MUI installation. Check the following: Post Installation of Foreign Languages Under MS Windows XP MultiLanguage Is it possible for you to trywith English or German language installation? For me the tooltip is working in both these languages. If nothing works, I would recommend logging-in a support request with Siemens. Regards

Try it: - Create a empty Bitmap with the dimensions of your valve. - Insert this bitmap into Picture, in front of your valve. - Alter the properties of this bmp to stay invisible(Picture transparent color = white, Picture transparent color on = yes) - I'll set the picture invisible. - So, you set the tooltip property of this bitmap. When the mouse cursor point on the valve, the bmp will show the tooltip message. Simple!!! Bye!!!

CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 10/10/2024 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi FabioIT, i cheked a lil different solution but the object you posted it's a damaged object from library: I think you tryed to customize it to add "Tooltip text", in this way you destroyed object (no animation possible over it) and "Tooltip text" doesn't works over it. Original object got from "Simatc HMI Symbol Library 1.4.1" there is NO "Tooltip text". So..if you want use that library no tooltip text is possible, if you really need tooltip text can't use that library. Check if you can use object from "Plant Elemnt -> Valves -> Valve 3" in same library, but you have to customize a lil the grphic if you keep same. If you already developed all graphic page you have to substitute all object and this a big work but no solution for your question. Sorry
