Totalizer using flow/hour in s7-1200

Automation19841954 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi guys Have a nice day Right now i am working on a small project on S7-1200.I am using TIA Portal V11 SP2 for programming. First I could not find out my rquired PLC in hardware list.My cpu order no. is 6ES7 212-1BE31-0XB0. Second i want to make totalizer from flow rate.Can any one give me some calculation or hint or some block in library so that i can perfectly calculate the totalizer from flow rate/hour. Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance Hello, How can you add together physical flow measurements (mass flow rate, for example) to a total value in STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V11? Hope this helps.

The CD may be provided with CPU Hw. . So try to setup that CD for HW update. . And one more thing. , if you cannot find your MLFB number then you can simply take lower version of same cpu. . It will not affect your system. . All you need to do is select "Accept All" condition and download into CPU. . For totalizer, you calculate your flow per second and add that flow in totalizer for every second. . For better result call totalizer block in cyclic interupts OBs. .

Thanks in advance Hi , if your hardware is latest then it may possible it is not listed in Software so you have to update it online--in a option menu you will get install HW update you can have option from Disk or Online for flow rate calculation ; x=flowrate/3600 add value for X in every second with previous value of Xyou will get totalalized air flow. Ton Verra Gold Member Joined: 4/20/2007 Last visit: 12/13/2024 Posts: 728 Rating: (43)	Hi, My OB35 runs every 100ms. I calculate my flow rate from x/h to x/ms and add that number up every 100ms. For me, adding every second is to slow and results in big deviations, the analog signal will only change once every 100ms for me, so that works fine for me. Best result would be a pulse counter, but analog is easier And Ayman, thanks for the excellent program!

If I have to convert Kg/Hr to Total Kg then should I need to use the same value Kg/hr as input or I need to convet it into Kg/s to use as a input? Thanks Ankit Patel
