touch probe signal identification

amoesco Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I would like to know which should be the min. and max. duration of the pulse signal input required to detect touch probe deflexion. The pin I am using in the X121 connector is number 9 ( MEPUS 0 ) in a sinumerik 840D or 810D. On the other hand, I would like know also the scan time (or sampling frequency) of the input signals connected to the X121 connector. thanks in advance.

TSH Posts: 73 Rating: (2)	Please check the following link, chapter 1.6 page 38. It refers to the IPO cycle time of the system which influences the switching time of the probe. The IPO can differ between systems. Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (57)	Hi, Depends as well on which processor is used but values in the very low milliseconds would be normal. The input is designed to be able to stop an axis and give an accurate position for an axis travelling at rapid speed before damaging the probe stylus. Note that when triggered the axis will stop in a normal deceleration line but the trigger position will be stored from the triger point. Maybe explain your application and we could help more.
