I can not find any information how to set my panels date and time of what the PLC has, i have a function to set the PLC's date and time in the HMI, but i cannot find how to set the panels ones. Any suggestions?

Nelliyan randy Posts: 461 Rating: (29)	Use RTC function for settng & reading the system time in ur PLC... Once done the RTC datatype will be in TIME format,,, create a time field in ur HMI & assign that RTC address.. Or convert that TIME to String & use that string address in HMI field.. So that ur HMI panel shows the time that ur plc reads.. Hope i understood properly Regards, Nelliyan.G

FuriousRage Bronze Member Joined: 9/2/2012 Last visit: 6/3/2019 Posts: 176 Rating: (16)	Doesnt seem to be the function to SET WinCC/HMI panels date with that, as far as i can see its still the S7-300/400 set cpu time on the plc side. Now i have to manually exit the RT and go into settings and set the panel time and date when changes needs to be done on date/time.. CPU: 1241C HMI: TP1200 comfort.

Then using those set /read rtc functions u can read the date & time in PLC ,,, Convert them to str & use the address for the display fields in ur Panel..the entry that ur doing now is for the Data & time field that ur creating in the HMI code itself( Date & Time field present in the wincc software ).. I am telling about creating a display field( as u do to display values of ur code) ... Regards, Nelliyan.G
