TP1500 comfort user management from S7-300

Andritz_TGI Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm using Wincc TIA portal V12 sp1 for programming TP1500 comfort. I would like to manage user access in PLC. You will find below the description: - Operators have RFID badge and are using badge readers connected to central a PLC. - The central PLC recognize the user and send to local PLC operator number and access level (between 0 and 9). - The local PLC sends the access number to the TP1500 and then the operator is logged and have access on functionnality according his access number. Is there any way to do this? Thanks

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, you can do the user administration this way, e.g. the one tag plc sends are the different user names and the other one is password. you can use the system function "logon" and set the tags as parameters. K!ke

I have several touch panels on my machine, and if i use your solution, I have to declare all operators on all panels... Very hard if I have to add or remove users... I found other solution by usinga "Job mail" area pointer to access a data area in the PLC: I created an array of 4 words in a data block in the PLC program. Then in HMI, in HMI->connections->area pointers, i activated "job mailbox" and set the address with the same address of data block in the PLC. If I force in the PLC the first word to 23 (code of Job mail box: User logon) and write in PLC the second word to access level (1 to 9), I'm logging in with the desired access level. This can be found in Wincc Tia portal documentation -> chapter -> Visualizing process->Communication with PLC->Communications with S7-300/400->Data exchange
