Hi

I want to simulate a TP1500 Comfort panel in TIA17 with WinCC Advanced v17. 

But the Online->Simulation->Start is greyed out. 

The project compiles fine. 

I just simulated a KTP900 panel using the same software, no problem. 

What am I missing?

Do you have DVD 3 installed, which contains the image versions of the panels? If not, you can find it in the Trial version of your TIA Portal version on the support website:

Also, if you don't have any Update installed for the software, I recommend you install the latest one released and try again:

Updates for STEP 7 V17, S7-PLCSIM V17 and WinCC V17

If the problem persists, please perform a Software Repair.

Apparently it is not possbile to have Panel/WinCC Advanced RT Simulation installed in the same machine as WinCC 7.5

So the solution was a new VPC without WinCC 7.5, and with Panel/WinCC Advanced RT Simulation.
