TP177A download cable

Dear Expert 

I have HMI TP177A and Wincc flexible SP3  I trying to download the program by using MPI cable but (No connection could be established )I check every thing seem to be O.K  , kindly any suggestions

as far as I understand you have your engineering pc directly connected to the TP177A via MPI. Have you checked MPI address of the panel? You need to have selected MPI for data transfer and have correct MPI address entered in communication setup for the panel.

If you have this adapter 6ES7 972-0CB20-0XA0 is not released for transfer project

You can use either USB-PPI or RS232-PPI Multimaster cable

but in the FAQ are these information:

• OP 73
• OP 77 A
• TP 177 A
• KTP600 Basic Color DP
• KTP1000 Basic Color DP

so for TP177A it should work.

Which Communication processor or Cable do you use? Do you have a Field PG?

I remember I had a very similar problem with a TP277. Although directly connected I could not download.

We could solve the problem as following:

1. End the runtime

2. When runtime is ended, you get a menu with some possibilities

3. select putting the TP177A in transfer mode (I dont remember exaxtly the menu item).

4. now TP177A is waiting for data. Now download the program and data.

That worked always when we had that kind of problem. Maybe you can give it a try.

I finaly download my program by using RS232/PPI multi-master cable by this sitting on cable
