TP177b Hmi to s7300

Hi Expert,

Good Morning! i have a project using Using TP177b HMI ethernet connection,   siemens plc s7300 with ethernet connection... It is possible that i will use Tia Portal as a programming tool? I want to explore my knowledge in tia portal using this item. I try to make sample button in wincc flexible  advance but in communication driver i see only CPU 315-2dp.

Hello,

your question isn't complete because using TIA portal requires also compatible HW. You also didn't mention if you want both HW program in TIA. Check all points:

1. what TIA portal (what full version) you have?

2. what exactly PLC S7-300 HW and cards? Pls check also expected cards versions!. Order number and firmware of PLC is required to know.

3. same with TP.

Thank you! for your reply...here is the specifications of my plc 314C-2DP Ver.2.6  3146CG03-OABO,

hmi tp177B pn/DP 6CTSN 6AV6-642-OBAO1-1XX1, tia portal ver 13.......I make independent project in wincc professional...in connection setting...I make S7/300/400 as a communication driver given the fact that i use s7300 using TIA portal software...... But hmi and plc is not communicating...is there any solution...

Have you tried migrating your project/device to TIA?

In theory this device should be supported by TIA WinCC, up to version 14 SP1. From 15.0 not any more.

Try using an "HMI connection" between  the PLC / HMI e.g. by copy/pasing a PLC Tag or DB element to the HMI.

still not all infos. Look to your cfg, is same MPI address and speed defined also in PLC? Did you set all settings correctly on HMI cfg menu as you have defined in WinCC? Do you have correct cable wired between both devices? What exactly TIAv13 - SPs, Updates? What you did in settings in WinCC to see that communication isn't functional, also some TAGs you have defined to see values from PLC in WinCC screen? Why you have 2 connections with same HW defined in WinCC? I see still so much problems that can affect your correct functionality.

What Im trying to test is if I can use this 2 existing unit using TIA portal software...of course this will run using simatic manager as a programming tool.... just testing if this possible...I use "M2.0"  "TESTHMI" in tags at plc and hmi.

what version of WinCC you have? Basic,Comfort,Advanced, you need for this type of panel Comfort or Advanced

Thanks again for your time to reply. I use TIA portal Ver 13  update 7. my WIN cc is 2008 sp3

in HMI i have a setting of ----Interface 1FIb mpi add  1.... 18750 speed----communication driver S7300/400 ----- in plc setting (TIA Software) mpi add 2 ....187.5kbps..........i also use same tag name...I can  only test communication in HMI using transfer tab ( download my project to hmi)

Is there any test to see the communication is functional?......

Before I made a project in S200 and Op270 i easily connect this 2 unit just configuring  com driver, speed and address and using same tags then it successfully run.....Not right now exploring world of TIA maximizing stack parts in my hand...

Is there any solution?
