I am using a TP700 panel with a 1511T-1 cpu in one of the machines, programmed via TIA v17, WinCC RT Advanced.

Currently, Alarm Logs are set to store to USB in Historical Data. (see screenshot)

My questions would be:

1) how could i get the alarm logs to a USB memory? what are conditions to save to USB? I did connect USB memory to panel port but no logs are saved to USB memory. 

2) if i need to prepare a VBS script to trigger saving AlarmLogs to USB, how it would differentiate from gathering process data from panel? see below link for gathering process data from panel. Here my case would be receiving AlarmLogs to USB.

Well... it was my bad that I could not release the existing function "ArchieveLogFile".

Now that i have used this function with a button to copy AlarmLog to a USB. Unfortuantely, it does not work, no file is being copied to USB. Does anybody have any idea?

Have you tried with other USB? For example one of Siemens licenses.

I work with an 8GB exFAT formatted USB memory. As per trials I made, panel can reach and write files to this USB memory.

Hello, You can check this too.

How is the pendrive formatted? Try to use FAT32 and no more than 32Gb in capacity.

make sure you only have one pendrive inserted so that the path is not USB2, you can check through the TP control panel, if windows recognized the pendrive or not.

Currently, I inserted a button to hmi screen and connected events mentioned in the above link. Not exact but similar operation can be seen in in WinCC Engineering manual. see attahment.

Final status with TP700 AlarmLog

Alarm Screen is prepared to show "Alarm Buffer" in AlarmView.

A button on the same screen is prepared to copy "AlarmLog" to USB.

works fine..
