TP700 Comfort. The OS does not boot

Hello All,

Did any one get the solution for this panel booting problem? Actually i am facing the same problem in TP700 Comfort panel. I have tried the same methods to OS update & reset to factory setting but no result comes.

Is any other way to restore the panel without sending to service center?

kindly suggest.

Hello everybody,

Finally I succeded with the TP1200 OS update and factory reset using ProSave. I followed the following steps:

1- Stop the runtime of your panel and go to Transfer, change the transfer channel to Ethernet and press OK.

2- in ProSave, choose Ethernet connection type. fill in the IP address of the panel. make sure that your PC see the Panel by pinging it for example.

3- in ProSave, go to OS update. choose the right image file, check Reset to factory settings checkbox, fill the MAC address. you can find the MAC on the back of your TP panel.

3- Press Update OS and accept the warning message.

4- ProSave will ask you to boot your HMI device, to do that you have to go to OP icon in your panel (same location as the first point above). the OP properties will popup, go to Device tab, click on Reboot button, Then choose Prepare for Reset. then HMI will show blank page with text telling that the panel is ready for OS update and factory reset.

5- wait for the ProfSave, after few seconds it will see the panel and it will start to Update and reset.

Hello,

Did you try to connect using Prosave. And by Ethernet.

Select the option "Reset to factory settings", then you have to insert the MAC Address of panel.

 I think this a not applicable when TP comfort panel was not booting up right?

Sorry for reviving an older post, I came across this whilst having an issue updating a 1200 Comfort last night.  The firmware update failed when downloading to the HMI via TIA and had the white boot screen. 

I was using Ethernet connection and OS Update with the reset to factory settings and the MAC address of the HIM in Prosave, but kept getting the 'Error during initalization of communication' message.  I finallly got it working after checking the PG/PC interface dialogue via Control Panel and finding that it had been set to 'None'.  Worked first time after setting it back to the correct my NIC.
