Hello nadeem; When I worked for a Siemens distributor (a long time ago), these "training boxes" were used as mobile equipment for demonstrations, training and sales tradeshows. They were bulky (1 m high, 0.75 m wide, 0.75 m deep) andheavy (thank god on rollers), and used a commercial travel boxcover. But inside you had everything you needed for the demos: a working PLC, connected by Profibus to a ET200-M station (with different typical sensors, temperature and limit switches and such) and to a fractional HP (1 phase) motor; an operator panel with a basic program allowed supervision of the process. You can of course expand the contents as needed for your own projects, change the PLC and OP program, etc... The part no. specified isstill active on the A&D Mall, so it is valid. Simply askyour localSiemens rep. to look it up in the product database; it is not a regular sales item, and it is built on demand, so he will have to dig for the information. But it is there. Now, if you would like to know a bit of pricing information, have a look at the following site: http://www.relkocz.com/dt/siemens/simatic-s7-300-training-unit-with-cpu-315-2dp-128-kb-complete-incl-s/6zb2310-0bm01.html This is a Czekh distributor, prices are in Euro. It comes to just a bit more than the selling price for all individual items, if you can calculateit, so it is not that extravagant. But I must say you must have a definite requirement for such an equipment. And remember that in 2 years this equipment will be considered "old" and due for review... Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
