Tranfer data between two CPU S7-300 in Profibus DP

marisamtc Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a problem... I need to tansfeer DB1.DBW0 to another CPU but in profibus DP. In MPI it's easy with global data. But anyone have tried to change data between two CPU's S7-300? Anyone have an example? Thanks, Marisa

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, you will have to, if you can, configure one CPU as DP Master and one CPU as DP Slave. Than you share one Byte Output on the Slave and you copy this in the PLC Program from / to your DB. This is really simple to do. Best regards J_Bell

Paresh Posts: 116 Rating: (1)	Hi, As explained by J Bell, you will have to configure one PLC as profibus master and another as Slave. For that you will have to creat a project with Simatic Manager for PLC which you are making as master. As communication in profibus takes place in terms of output and input words only, you will have to copy the DB word to Output word of Profibus master and again copy Input word to DB word in profibus slave. In this way you can transfer DB word from one PLC to another using Profibus interface. Please let me know if you have any query. Thanks Regards Paresh
