TRANFER KTP900 PROJECT WINCC TIA V13.0 REMOTE

I can't go online with my KTP900.

I am using an VPN adapter connection to acces the device remotly.

I can ping the KTP900, but I cannot detect it with TIA v13.0.

Funny thing is I can go online with the PLC.

Another thing worth of notice is the fact that I just came back from the factory where the PL/HMI are and there I was plugging my laptop in the port#2 of my 1215 dc/dc/dc (S7-1200) and I could download in the HMI and the PLC and I also could detect these devices thru the ethernet adapter.

Now the vpn ethernet wire is plugged in the port#2 of the S7-1200 and there is an ethernet cable from port#1 of PLC to KTP900.

I wonder if the problem is a matter subnetwork.

Any idea what I should try?

Hello,

the detection can only work with direct connected devices.
If you use a VPN then the network components (Switches/Router) block the protocols which used for the detection.
Try the "extended online" / "extended Download" functionality and type the IP Adress directly in the Online doalog in tia.

The address is there already and I dont see a way to manually input one...

Also I found in the section IE/PG a table to input project specific address, How can I input an adress there, I can't.
