Transfer of parameters from the CU240S DP to the CU250S-2 DP

I have a CU240S DP control unit with a memory card with order number 6SL3254-0AM00-0AA0. The parameters of the control unit are saved on the memory card. It is required to transfer the parameters from the memory card to the CU250S-2 DP V4.70 control unit.

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 1/22/2025 Posts: 5985 Rating: (824)	Hello, there is an FAQ available for replacing a CU240S by a CU240E-2. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/70021820 But like mentioned in section 5 of the documentation, a direct migration of the parameterization of the CU240S to a 2^ndgeneration control unit like CU250S-2 is not possible because of the modified parameter structure in the new control units. So you have to recommission the drive.
