If yes, what program is needed in PC side? does this program ship with 840D CDs? Thank you very much, A. Mandous

I've opened the controller box and in the back of front panel there is a box with 840D label and also with Ethernet/COM/USB ports, so is it PCU50? or our machine just have HMI panel? Is existing Ethernet port useless in my case? I think my questions are silly as I'm a newbie in Siemens controllers!

After turn on powerinto PCU you can can see bios-screen with information about hardware configuration you have:processor speed, ram etc.. and there you can see what CPU you have. In first line you see: For example: SINUMERIK PCU50.3. Thats it Makaveli

Now I've no access to the machine, I will check the boot messages as makaveli said and notice you. But as I mentioned before, what's that Ethernet port back of the panel?? Regards,
