Transfer trend data via ethernet

I would like to send trended data from 4 temperature probes to a PC terminal via the ethernet connection on the HMI. If possible I would like to send the data every 24 hours. Does the remote computer require Siemens software to accept the data. Any help would be useful. Cheers Gengus
