Transmitting (sending) data through CP340 to VMT 8255 Teklogix

jkp Posts: 27 Rating: (1)	To experts, I have installed one CP 340 (6ES7 340-1AH01-OAEO) on one of my equipment which is having CPU 315-2 DP and commissioned it for ASCII protocol to transmit data to Teklogix make VMT8255.(connection between CP340 & VMT is RS232 9pin to 36 pin PCR) Now TxD LED is blinking on the CP and i am able see data on Laptop through Hyper Terminal but not getting on VMT. I have checked following: 1.Communication cable & connections found OK. 2. Protocol parameters found ok. 3. VMT 8255 parameters found ok. Please suggest, What else to check and is it possible to get data on Laptop through hyper terminal if there is some problem in my PLC program or CP parameters.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I admit, I am no expert on VMT but I know that most issues to interconnect 3rd party devices with SIEMENS are based on different protocol’s used. So I would verify which protocol is being used on VMT side. Maybe contact Teklogix for more information's. Best regards J_Bell

jkp Posts: 27 Rating: (1)	Dear Expert, ASII protocol is used in VMT, please find attached word file. In other equipment i am able to send the data to VMT where i am using CP341 instead of CP340. I have cross checked all parameters of VMT and CP340 and found ok. I am not able to understand that if getting data transfered in Laptop then why not in VMT.
