Trend WinCC - matching data archiv file for trend data in server 1 and server 2

ORIENTE Hi I have some synchronization problems with my Server, ( PCS 7 ver 6.2 ) Server 1 has hystorical Trend until, let say,17:00 hrs ofyesterday,and server 2 has all hystorical data until April 26, i dowload entire project to Both servers and restart them, without any syncronization. In other handBoth servers are connected by the Serial COM2, but nothing happens. I also check the file inside the path Projects/Pal/SRV/ArchiveManager/AlarmLogging Projects/Pal/SRV/ArchiveManager/TagLoggingFast Projects/Pal/SRV/ArchiveManager/TagLoggingSlow , and seem to be the same file inside each servers. Could You tel me what can i do to have a good synchronization bettween servers. How can i know if both server are in redundant Mode? I got this in a PM as well, and I asked if the redundat servers were created with Project Duplicator, and sent the steps for setting up redundancy and duplication. Then he answered that project duplicator hadn't been used, and I suggested he followed the steps to set up redundancy and duplication. The first part of this thread can be found at the PCS 7 forum. Here's the last PM I got, which is pretty much similar to the last part of the thread in the PCS 7 conference: ORIENTE Hi I was checking the contents of the folder AlarmLogging, TagLoggingFast and TagLoggingSlow of ArchiveManager anf ind that exist files that start wiht SRV1 and also SRV2, so seem that both servers share or generated archive files. So David, Have you used project duplicator yet? Are the archives synchronized? Best regards, Danielle

ORIENTE Regular Member Joined: 11/29/2006 Last visit: 4/12/2019 Posts: 29 Rating: (0)	Muy Bien Danielle: Let me tell you that I´m rocky in Wincc, so here are some questions? 1.- What is a Package and how can i create a new package for SRV1? 2.- Every Compilation process for SRV1 means that the server has been updated, right? if not tell me how canI Update SRV1? 3.- The new packager of SRV1 should be load with the SRV1 running or not running? 4.- as a attached file you will see that there exist files created by SRV1 and others with SRV2, i hope that this screenshot could clear my problem. best regards Attachment PALMAFA_SRV1_TagLoggingFast_3.gif (71 Downloads)

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi David, The 'server package', or just 'package', is, in a few and very rough words, what gives the clients the info on tags, tag logging and alarm logging they need to operate. In a server yuo can create this, under WinCC Explorer -> Server Data -> Create. This package must be created / updated whenever you create / make changes in the server. It must be then loaded / re-loaded in the clients. As I posted in the PM, the order for WinCC should be: 1 - Stop server 1. 2 - update server 1 with tags, alarms etc. 3 - Create new server package on server 1 4 - duplicate the project onto a different folder in server 2. 5 - start server 1 6 - stop clients and load new server package of server 1 7 - stop project on server 2. 8 - start new project on server 2. I'm not a PCS 7 user, so I'm not sure about how this goes there... Best regards, Danielle

The import cannot be executed. Best Regards Oriente
