Triggering alarms in HMI

 Hello experts.

I'm having trubles with triggering discrete alarms from PLC. In search for answers I learned that I have to make DB(not optimalized) with some variable(i.e:"callingAlarm") as word, connect it with HMI tag and add this HMI tag as trigger tag for those discrete alarms.

Now i have problem understanding how to call those trigger adresses from PLC. From forum topics I know I have to call specific bit from "callingAlarm" in DB. Can you please explain me, how to call those bits from FBD language(MOVE,SET,...)? Or is there any easier way to trigger those alarms?

I'm using:

1215C DC/DC/DC

TP700 comfort

TIA portal v13

You can try to use a Coil, with "CallingAlarm".x0

How in STEP 7 (TIA Portal) do you access the unstructured data types bit-by-bit, byte-by-byte or word-by-word and symbolically?

Perhaps this alarm triggering made by my own may help you, they are calling in the HMI and they are aknowledge in the PLC with some conditionals.

Javier - thank you very much for helping.
Just a note for you.... consider using "slicing" instead of absolute addressing when working with S7-1x00. Those are explained in the provided links given earlier.

Thanks for the aclaration. What happened was that i migrate the code from a S7-300 to a S7-1200 . However, i did not know about "slice" way to call.

I modifyed the calling, and know i attach the new version (with all the older because I'm lazy with rewriting the explanation xD).
