troubles reading my double incremental rotary encoders

MKS02 Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Hi , I’m have troubles reading my double incremental rotary encoders RVI58V-032K1A61N-02000 (2000 pulses) on my CPU314C-2 PN/DP. I’m able to read pulse data in, also counting up and down. The problem is that I can only do this on an extreme slow rotation speed. When I speed up the encoder, the software skip reading data. I only use the A , B, +, GND of my encoder wires. I do not use the /A and /B. The encoders are connected to the fast counter inputs of the 314C. Sorry don't have an example in TIA, only in Step 7 V5.5 You don't have to connect the A and B on the block. Just give the hardware addres(in Hex) and channel and the counter wil work. The software helps you with that it picks the standard adress(300) and channel 0. Look at the online help for explanation off the function. Regards, Marcjan
