Hello Experts, I have a big gear of about 1,5 meter of Diameter which is directly driven by a geared motor with a small gear of about 15 cm diameter attached on gearbox shaft... This induction motor (4.8 kw) with brake was earlier working without vfd....Now i introduced Sinamics g120, PM 240 (in built chopper) with CU240B. I am using it on Profibus with Simatic S7-315 plc... Now, the problem is, because of inertia of this big gear, when i try to stop this motor with OFF1, drive gives error of Overspeed and it overahoots beyond my End Limit sensor.... and so I had to limit my Rapid (Upper) speed, which is not suiting my application requirements... I did not use any Braking resistors as i was told that, it has in built chopper. Now, how can I increase my speed and not let load, to drive my motor..... This gear moves only half turn to take the load to destination and then comes back.... And in this half turn, it gets so much power, that at little high speed, it crosses the Limit.... Is there any solution with Parameters? May I disable Vdc Controller as we do in case of Hoist application? I mean can i commission this drive as HOIST APPLICATION DRIVE? Will installation of External Braking resistor help? How can I eliminate or reduce this additional force on motor, generated by big load gear? Now, my machine is running with Reduced Speed.
