Turning on ouputs using WinCC

Dermie Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi I dont have any tags in my HMI tag Tables. However I do have Tags for outputs and inputsIn my PLC tag table. When I want to turn on one of these tags from WinCC how do I call it? For example I want to turn on amotor which in my step 7 program is output Q8.5 "Tag 4". When I try using a switch to set tag 4 it gives me a warning message. I will attachmessage On a screen grab.Please have a look and let me know what you think? Tweety Posts: 3037 Rating: (192)	Hello, Do you use WinCC Advanced V11 SP2 Update 5? You use the function Software (rebuild all) under Compile in WinCC V11. You delete the folder IM in your project directory and compile your project new. Does these error message appear at a new project? Tweety

You say delete folder IM.....Where do I find this and how will this make it possible for me to turn on output tag 4?How do I program a simple"click" button to turn on input M100.0which is programmed in mystep 7 to turn on output Q8.5 (motor on)I use TIA portal V11 SP 1

Dermie Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi Yes I tryed migrating the tags from my plc tag table the same way it was done in your tutorial. However it cannot access these tags because it says that connection is not able to.I have deleted the IM folder and I am still using the same connection. I will attach screen grabs of the error. Dermie Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	I have downloaded sp2 and update 5. This stil left the same problem where the connection could not be made.I will attach the screen grab. The step 7 programming is uploading as it should. What else could I try to gain this connection??
