You can define a faceplate and use textlist for the describition. With a value you can choose the right text and Show it in a symbolic I/O field. At the properties of the I/O field you can define the unit. So you don't ueed the unit in your UDT. As Interface property you can define a tag with the UDT data type, with can you bind through the objects. A short introduction and a getting started for faceplates you can find under following link: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/68014632 With best regards rh1990 |

Hi, I already had a look in https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/68014632/68014632_Faceplates_EngineeringExamples_en.pdf Ok, now my question more explained in detail: Looking at section 4.2 (page 63) Example 1 picture, i would like to do the following: Instead of showning Fan 12, Fan 11, Fan 22, I would like to shown the real UDT tagname here. So imagine I would have a UDT for the fan, called udtFan, and in a DB I have the following 3 tags of datatype udtFan. XV131 : udtFan XV167: udtFan XV192: udtFan I don't want to copy the values 131, 167, 192 into my UDT and use it from there on the HMI, but I want to show directly the tagname (XV131) on the screen. How can I access the tagname from the DB into WinCC. |
