ULTRAMAT 6F Help on error " Chopper motor faulty "

Hello every body;

we have a ULTRAMAT6F for CO2 measuring in our plant, it has been out of service for a long period. yesterday we decided to put it in service so we turned it on but the device indicating on its LCD : " Chopper motor faulty ". we replaced the chopper with new one but the error wasn't rectified, then we read the ULTRAMAT 6 and OXYMAT 6 Manual Order No. C79000-G5276-C143
Release 11/2005 and according to chapter 6 page 6-34 , all possible causes were checked. but unfortunately our problem wasn't solved. please help us with this trouble.

our analyzer measures CO but the measure doesn't stabilize.

the chopper diference  move  rapidly  -50>70<+50 and   -50>-20<+50 and then -50>1<+50

the U[uV]=0.0  but the other E values are not stable and change rapidly  with zero gas the meas values goes from -6vpm to 4 vpm rapidly change  .

what could be the trouble?? could be the chopper

Dear M.Afroukh,

it might be that the Controller of the chopper Motor is faulty. This electronic Controller is a part of the Motherboard. I would suggest to replace the Motherboard.

Hello.

I have the same problem with my 2 gas analyzers Ultramat 6 dual channel for CO and CO2.

Both of them have continuous gas through it but in a period of 2 months, I have the same problem for CO channel with the fail "Choppermotor faulty".

One of them was already repaired by Siemens but no information was given regarding the cause and the concrete problem.

Could you please inform what could be the cause for this failures? This is only solved changing the motherboard?

I will appreciate some help.
