Unable to acknowledge server horn from client

Check the @HornQuit.pdl (silence button in @buttons11) is @local::@HornReset. I tested your situation and it works well for me. Check the status of Alarm_tag during alarm before and after acknowledge on both server and client. Let me know how it goes... Regards

adilmahsan Posts: 71 Rating: (2)	Thanks for replying :) i had already checked that script, it's set to local::@hornreset.... when i changed it to server1@hornreset, it worked but it didn't work with local. the value of alarm tag doesn't go to 0 when i acknowledge the horn from the client... it only goes to zero from the server also, i made a little script to set the value to 0 if @hornreset even momentarily changes to zero... the @hornreset of the server changed to 0 on acknowledgement from the server but the @hornreset of the client never changes to 0 from acknowledgement on the client :( the horn solution works for the standard soundcard right?

Make sure there is no space after the GROUP1 in either client or server. Try with a different group name. If nothing works I urge you to log-in a support request with Siemens hotline: this may be a know problem for the particular version of WinCC you are using. Regards

For better analysis, we need the installed Software of your System. I ask you to send me the Installed Software of the OS-Server an the Client. (start->SIMATIC->Product Notes->Installed Software. Then he said that Dear Mr. Ahsan, we normaly use the pci signal module, but you were right that a configuration with a standard sound card should also work. in this case we can not say what this behavior cause and we have to analyse it in our extended support,in which this Service Request will be charged.Please let me know, if you want to make use of this support.

This means there is a problem with WinCC installation. You can further test by creating a Single User test project on the client. Are you using Simatic Rack PC's?
