Unable to add datablock to CPU 315

Koen_D_L Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I have a project with a CPU 315 (6ES7 315-1AF00-0AB0) where I have a number of datablocks going to DB 127. Now I want to add some more datablocks but the numbers have to follow after DB127. I can insert a datablock DB128 in my simatic manager but I am unable to download it to the CPU, I get the following error message: error 294:6 : unabel to copy the block DB128. Can somebody help me with this? thanks in advance.

cmaras Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Koen_D_L As far as I know max Data block number 127 for CPU 315 (6ES7 315-1AF00-0AB0) DB0 (reserved) DB1 ... DB127 available yes you can insert greater than 127in simatic manager but you can not download to cpu

Can somebody help me with this? thanks in advance. Hello, like cmaras has written, your (very old) CPU can not handle DB numbers higher than 127. The newer versions of this CPU are able to handle a DB range of 1023 or even more.
