Dear S7-1200 an Simatic Fans,

I am new to this forum and this is my first Topic, so let me introduce myself. 
I am Lennard van der Kamp, from the Netherlands, and new in the world of PLC's. 
I have been retrained for programming Siemens PLC's in the cheese automation.
To become an PLC engineer/programmer i am following an "Industrial automation" study at the University of Breda, in the Netherlands.

Besides School and work i like to do some projects. For now i am busy with an home automation project. 
As controller for the Home automation project i use an S7-1200 1211c DC/DC/Rly.

The first step in my project is developing an Web user interface.
But i encounter problems with the accessibility.

If my laptop is directly connected to the PLC and my laptop is also connected by Wifi i am able to access the Web Server and PLC
PLC IP = 192.168.0.3.
Laptop Static IP = 192.168.0.2

But i am unable to access the PLC with the S7App or by Web address on my Iphone (Wifi)?
"Perhaps other subnet?" 

Question 1)
What is the difference between the Laptop and Wifi acces, why is it not accesable by phone?
What is the technology behind this?

Question 2)
Is it possible to acces the S7-1200 by Router/Wifi ? If so, is there any documentation from Siemens how To configure?

Question 3) 
Does anyone know an similair topic or documentation that can help me learn more of this networking technology?

 First thing is that, for connecting to PLC, through WIFI, it needs a router. Your PLC should be connected through the router. With the access of that router, you can access the PLC.

There is no inbuuld router in the PLC. So either you need to wire the PLC to the WIFI router and then access through the WIFI or connect a separate router for the PLC apart from your home WIFI.

Also after connecting to the WIFI router, you need to assign the router IP inside the network configuration of the PLC so that it can pass through the router and you can access through WIFI.

Thanks for your reply. 

I have wired the PLC directly to my Router without any switches. 
I have also managed to reset the IP in my PLC. 

So let begin fresh. 
My Router IP begins with 192.168.2.xxx
Wich IP addres should i use for my PLC? 

So i can acces it by Wifi and LAN?

After the proper IP is set in the PLC, do i need to configure something in my Router?

i there also documentation how to configure the Simatic S7 app i.cw. S7-1200. 
Lot of documents are based on the older S7-1200 app and not compatible with the newer S7 Simatic App.

 Can you take a photo of the network address setting of the PLC? There's is an option to set the router IP in that settings. With that you can access through it.

 Click the use router option and enter your router IP and download to the CPU. Then it will work through your wifi

Your laptop is directly connected to the PLC. So you can access. Did you ever tried to disconnect the LAN cable and access the IP of the PLC again. I am sure with your present setting it wont work.

I don't have acessa to my laptop now. I will try to find some documents and send to you on Tuesday if it's not too late. If you google search, i think you can find many.

It's just about input of right keywords to find the same topic. If you miss some keywords maybe you won't find the right topic here. Do a google search, it will lead you to some related topics .
