Unable to connect using the Web server

Hello everybody!

I have a CPU 1515F-2 PN. I have enabled Web server access on the PLC. I have specified the path of user defined web page folder.

the firmware version is v2.0 and the HW version is v3.0.

The IP address of the PLC is 192.168.5.144

When I type "http://192.168.5.144" in the web browser, I get a 504 Gateway Timeout error. I tried using Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Does anybody here know the possible cause why I am unable to connect to the PLC using the browser? Any help in solving this problem is appreciated.

the settings are loaded to the PLC?

How are you connected to the PLC?

Is there a gateway to pass?

Yes, I have loaded the settings to the CPU.

I have connected my computer to the PLC using an ethernet cable. I am not using a router.

When you say you have loaded the settings to the cpu, have you ever done this successfully and enabled a web server and it worked?  On this plc / project?

I ask because I cannot tell if you simply clicked the download button on the menu bar, or forced portal to download the hardware configuration as well as the software programming.

I see that the user configuration restricts access to the admin account essentially.

Are you using IE11?  Can you ping the plc after manually setting your network adapter to be on the same subnet as your plc?
