Unable to download FM350-1 FC2 in CPU315-2DP

PLCforEver Posts: 99 Rating: (3)	Dear experts, I have installed a 6ES7 350-1AH03-0AA0 in a rack with 6ES5 315-2AF00-0AB0 Version 3 When I try to download the FC2 or FC3 from the standard library FMx50LIB (version 6.0 package), I get the message "unable to copy the block" (D280) Error compiling block in S7-300 CPU. Is there a work around? Is there a list of CPU that does/does not work with these FC? Best regards Andre Bracing for impact...

Sydney Gold Member Joined: 1/4/2008 Last visit: 9/26/2024 Posts: 703 Rating: (96)	Hello, this CPU version is pretty old. Maybe it doesn't have the SFC6 "RD_SINFO" which is used by the FC mentioned. Lookat online module information (rightclick on the CPU, menu PLC->Module Information...), tab Performance Data, table System Blocks whether this CPU supports this SFC. Regards Sydney

Sydney Gold Member Joined: 1/4/2008 Last visit: 9/26/2024 Posts: 703 Rating: (96)	Hello Ssc_Mikro, this model has 48 kB of work memory (you can read it in information in HWconfig editor or in the technical data of this CPU on this web, Product Support), but in the case of insufficient memory it won't show the error about compilation in S7-300, just that there isn't enough memory... This error is because the fct uses something which isn't in that CPU. Regards Sydney

PLCforEver Posts: 99 Rating: (3)	Dear Sydney, you are right: there is no SFC6 in this PLC. FC0 "CNT_CTRL" is still usable. This with the older manual is OK for the job I have to do... Regards
