Unable to interconnect to a WinCC V7.0 Server from a Client

Teukros Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Dear forum members, When I tried to connect to a WinCC V.70 server from a client PC (running also WinCC V7.0), I received the following error: "CCDELTALOADER.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." This error message is experienced after I successfuly authenticated the connecting user. The error message has to be acknowledged by either letting Microsoft to know about it or.. not! Has anyone of you experienced the same behaviour? Both systems run WinXP Pro SP2 (the server is a Simatic Box PC 627B). Both systems run the same Antivirus program with other WinCC Servers, with which the same client did not ever had any problems connecting and editing their project on-line. I did check the WinCC Diagnose files and this is what I received: (PMDIAGNOSE.txt) 2009_6_3 18 18:20:48:747 CCProjectMgr.exe CWinCCApplication::IsStarted (PASSDBRT.EXE) returned E_FAIL AbortEvent 2009_6_3 18 18:20:48:919 CCProjectMgr.exe CSingletonProject::InternalGetAso Unknown Exception in CSingletonProject::InternalGetAso() (CCDELTALOADER.txt) * Remarkably this file had no entries related to the problem. The last entries were from * a previous activation of another project, where the CCDELTALOADER started and * stopped normally. CCDELTALOADER.EXE : 02/06/2009 13:42:19 : Log C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\Diagnose\CCDELTALOADER.Log started. CCDELTALOADER.EXE : 02/06/2009 13:42:19 : DeltaLoader mode set to on CCDELTALOADER.EXE : 02/06/2009 13:46:40 : DeltaLoader mode set to on CCDELTALOADER.EXE : 02/06/2009 13:46:56 : Log C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\Diagnose\CCDELTALOADER.Log stopped. (WinCCSStart_01.txt), (WinCC_Op_01.txt) * The same as in CCDELTALOADER.txt Do you have any other ideas than the re-installation of the whole WinCC package. The previous installation on the server PC was completed with no errors at all. The server was upgraded from WinCC V6.2 SP2 to V7.0 and the converted project (at the server PC) runs without any issues for the last ten days, since the WinCC V7.0 was installed. Hi Teukros, Have you verified if the anti-virus software you are using is released for WinCC? Which virus scanners are released for WinCC? Have you logged-in a tech support call for this problem? The antivirus we use was selected according to the link you provided me with (Office Scan v.8), also I have reported the problem to the Tech Support, who kindly suggested a remedy that did not solve the problem. I thought that in the meantime it would be a good idea to check with this forum and see if someone had experienced the same thing before. Regards, Teukros

MNSRM Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have the same issue. I am using 1 server - 2 clients . Both of clients were crashed suddenly and server was working properly. I tried to restart the clients but every time it showed me issue with License. In fact all my license I was using in Client PC were updated and valid. But WinCC RT used to take long time for loading and in the end shows error: A basic application could not be started. Please check your software License. or Application SCRIPT.EXE could not establish a connection to the Wincc License server. Make sure that the wincc license server is running and that application was exited correctly the last time you closed the project. My diagnosis files has same logs as of yours. Issue was resolved instantly when I switched OFF the OS and I restarted the server. Then started the OS again. All was good. Dont know what was the issue . But same thing happened twice in 3 month and it was resolved by restarting the server.
