Situation: Got project with several PLC's and HMI's in it. 2 People working on the project, thus 2 separate desktops accessing the project. One Desktop can view blocks and their online counterparts. Second desktop can do the same, except one PLC. The project is about 10 yrs old. Has been working quite well since then. Recently I noticed one of the added PLC's suddenly lost it's link to the Symbol Table, managed to fix this with a save as + reorganization. Today I found that on one PLC it just doesn't allow me to go online. It's not even attempting to go online, neither does it give me an error. I can however access the PLC to view the module information, but it doesn't allow me to check the blocks. Even when trying to compare, the Online selection is greyed out. The other PC can go online using said project, no problems at all. Anyone know if there is some mysterious setting or something that might've caused this? Btw, using Step 7 V 5.4 SP5. |

Jeebs, 1) Is the source of the plc code the same for both PCs or each PC has the plc code saved on its hard disk separate from the other PC? 2) Do you have a backup from the project that you can retrieve and check? 3)What is the communication line between the PCs and PLCs? Profibus or Ethernet? Regards, Behnam www.sigmaprocess.ca |
