Unified comfort pdf in background TIA V17

Using this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtCeNpkEI5A&ab_channel=DerHecht4.0 I can open pdf file from usb, but i would like to use buttons over it (picture in attachment). It is not possible to use the WinCC Unified GUI on a Unified Panel in parallel, since both applications only run in full-screen mode. However, you can use the Web Control instead. I found SIMATIC HMI WinCC Unified Engineering V18 and there is: " Displaying PDF files in the "Browser" on a Unified Comfort Panel The "Browser" object displays PDF files that are available: Locally on the HMI device On an external storage medium You can view a PDF file in the following ways: Enter path and file name in the URL input field of the "Browser" operating object. In the configuration of the "Browser" operating object under "Properties", link the URL with a tag of the type WString which contains path and file name. Syntax: file:///<path>/<filename>.pdf Pay attention to uppercase/lowercase spelling. Examples: Open file from the data memory card: file:///media/simatic/X51/UCPManual.pdf Open locally saved file: file:///home/industrial/UCPManual.pdf " But using syntax file:/// i get error: The value is invalid. URL has to start with 'https://' Is there a way to do this in TIa V17? Or is it only possible in TIA V18?

However, I did some tests and found out that this is just a limitation of the engineering system. You can use "file:///" when entering a URL in the toolbar at runtime and you can also use scripting to set the URL to a file value. For example, you can write a script for the loaded event of the screen that contains the web control. export function Screen_OnLoaded(item) { let webCtrl = UI.FindItem("myWebControl"); webCtrl.Url = "file:///media/simatic/X61/myFile.pdf"; } Kind regards Stefan
