I am not sure I understand your expectation.

It is not possible to browse a directory with the File Browser application and copy the name of a selected file to an HMI tag.

However, it is possible to do this with scripting. You can use FileSystem.Browse() to get the contents of a directory. And this content can be written into a list box. However, this may require some more scripting.
