Unified Panel access to multiplexed tags via proxy PLCs

Utilising TIA V18 UPD2

I have a project where a unified panel is accessing all the tags of a PLC perfectly well.

As I needed to add another PLC, I have exported the tags and DB's from my original PLC via proxy data.

When I am attempting to connect to the proxy tags, the ONLY tag that will not resolve correctly is the multiplexed tag. I know that multiplexing tags was an issue in V17 and it certainly works in V18 WHEN the HMI and PLC are resident in the same project.

See attached, it appears like the data types are not exported with all the other data so my HMI tag table does not understand the tag.

I saw Denilson's post about scripting to compose the tag and I have made this work as a test as per attachment, but I have hundreds of entries to go through and I'm sure that this should work "normally", is there something I am doing wrong?

Hi, I managed to resolve this issue, it appeared it was my own inexperience.

I had to select the first index of the multiplex tag i.e. [0] as the actual tag address, only then was it possible to modify it and select the index modifier I needed found in the DB in the proxy PLC.

A bit fiddly, but it works OK
