Hello,

I have an issue with a unified panel 12in (6AV2 128-3MB06-0AX). I programmed some tags to be logged in different ways (some every 1 minute and some other when a TAG changes).

The problems is that after rebooting the device (power it off and on) there is some connection error that stop generating logs and trending them.

When the trends are fine I get this icon:

But when the trends are not working I have an "X" inside the boxes indicating that there is some connection issue.

To solve that problem I have to reload the program again using TIA Portal.

If I use a SD card to save the log files I loose the logs after rebooting the HMI no matter if I do it by software or by power the main switch off.

If I use the a USB stick it only happens if I power the main switch off.

I would say you are dealing with two problems:

1. Loss of connection to the PLC.
2. Loss of data on the external storage.

For both we would need additional information.

• Which TIA Portal Version are you using?
• Which image version is running on the panel?
• What type of PLC is connected?
• Are you getting a connection error on the alarm control? If you do not have an alarm control, please add one.
• Are you using a SIMATIC SD card or a normal one?
• Which file system do you use for your external storage devices? NTFS, FAT32, …?
• How much memory do the devices have?

I didn't notice any connection issues.

Regarding the additional information:

Which TIA Portal Version are you using?

• Which image version is running on the panel? V18.0.0
  
• What type of PLC is connected? it is connected to 2 x S7-1200 (6ES7 215-1AG40-0XB0) + 1 HMI TP-700 Comfort (6AV2 124-0GC01-0AX0)
  
• Are you getting a connection error on the alarm control? If you do not have an alarm control, please add one. I don't have alarm control.
  
• Are you using a SIMATIC SD card or a normal one? normal one
  
• Which file system do you use for your external storage devices? NTFS, FAT32, …? NTFS format
  
• How much memory do the devices have? 16GB

Hi Gustavo,

using NTFS instead of FAT32 is a good choice as this has better mechanisms for ensuring data consistency. However, Siemens states that the consistency of the stored data is only guaranteed for the SIMATIC SD memory card.

But you should take care of the connection issues. I would recommend to put a alarm control inside you HMI project. This will show more details on connection errors.
