Hello, I am meeting the same problem when I want to uninstall older version SCOUT 4.1.2.0. When I start installation of upgrade to SCOUT 4.1.4.1, system recognizes older version but uninstallation crashes with message ERROR Uninstall SIMOTION SCOUT - setup terminated. I have tried to uninstall older version via standard routine Add/Remove programs in Control Panel and also via Setup.msi located in SCOUT DVD /CD2 as you mentioned, both without success. I have used third party program Revo Uninstaller to uninstall older SCOUT Version from my PC, it has uninstalled physically older SCOUT and cleanup all SCOUT inputs in Windows system registry but result is same. When I start new upgrade installation, system recognizes again older version and stops installation. I have also tried to reinstall older SCOUT 4.1.2.0 - with success, but when I want to do upgrade to 4.1.4.1 - installation crashes with the same message. Is there any hint where is problem? The second last step is following the FAQ 189025: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/189025 The last one: 'Format C:\' |
