Unknown error b0 installing license

horus Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello We have just installed WinCC K.6.0.2.0 on a Panel PC 577. During installation process it askedfor the license disquette and we give it. The process went on with no error. Now, when we run WinCC Explorer, itsays it has no license installed and go into DEMO mode. We run AuthorsW and we can see this unlimited license on the disquete: Authorization SIK/SIMATIC WINCC V6 RT 128PTg 512ATg but when we try to transfer the license to the C: we get the message:unknown error (b0). End moving authorizations. Any idea what is going on here? Thank you for your help, Jose

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi, did you any engineering in WinCC e.g. open pictures in Graphics Designer....? => Than you need the RC license (Runtime+Configuration). Please check license.log for entries. nemo

horus Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi nemo Yes, we do engin. Our provider send us then Panel PC with all the software and licenses required ... he says. The license logs shows that not Entry exist for Runtime+Development license. Does it minds we need another license type than: Authorization SIK/SIMATIC WINCC V6 RT 128PTg 512ATg? The disquete have other licenses but none named WINCC RC. And it is normal that the previous license can not be transfered to the hard disk? Thank you,jose

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi, please check this FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/11997978 For longer Engineering-time a RC-license is mandatory. Transfering licenses isn´t a problem....but you should normally use the Automation License Manager "START > SIMATIC > LicenseManagement > AutomationLicenseManager". AutorsW is just for older PCS7/WinCC/STEP7 versions.... nemo

horus Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	hi i am contacting with our provider to get the RC license. But I test the license transfer with the Automation License Manager and it gets the same b0 error. Can be this a windows error code? I will look for it. thanks, jose

horus Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi nemo I tried to transfer the RTlicense to a USB-stick: the same error. In the C: we have several licenses: I drag the Profibus FMS from C: to A: and it worked. The license is now on A:. But I tried to move again to C: and it gives the same error. jose

horus Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	thanks nemo but i suspect the subject is finished. I closed the License manager and when I reopened it, the disquette onA: is no more accesible. I tried to read it on other disquette units and no luck: it is not recognized. I must be killed it with that profibustransfer. I will try to get another one. jose
