Unreachable and unresponding CPU

Dear All,

I have an 214-1BE30-0XB0 CPU with 2.0 firmware workinf fine for my home lighting until yesterday.

I buy the 24MB card for upgrading to 2.2 and I applied the alternative recommanded procedure with MRES, the STOP/RUN.

But after MRES, the CPU is not responding ... all leds are blinking and I can not find the CPU nor in TCP network (with switch) nor CSM127 nor directly in CPU plug.

1-I try to recover with older firmware unsucessully...

2-I shut the power down

3-I investigate with 24v supplier

4-S7 tool : no detection

5-Proneta : no detection

If you have an idea ?

As a side note.. (not that I assume it will help you)

Some time ago, I made the same upgrade to the higher firmware version. I made the mistake of powering down too soon.

The firmware update takes a long time.. do give it enough time.

I try 3 times the first sequence with blank memory card (not the hidden files).

I wait more then 10 min ... without change.

I try to power off and on ... still blinking.

I try with 4MB card and 24MB card.

I will propose Siemens to put a reset button on next S7 generation ;-)

All ideas are welcome !

For info, I have just upgraded another S7_1200 as I did for the first one ... with success.

Lucky day !

I unplugged all cables, put the 2.0 firmware in 24MB card.

Then I restart the PLC.

TADA !!! The green led flashing as the first day.

When the updated is completed, I just assigned a new IP and now all is working fine.
