Denker Posts: 90 Rating: (0)	Dear Users, I have two issues about Simotion and I`d like your help, please. 1) How can I activate the Software Limit Switch using <Axis>.swlimit.state system var in a LAD program ? 2) I have a Simotion D435 and CF card D4xx incl. Sinamics 2.2 and I´m trying to do a Firmware Update using external read/write CF card. I´m using Scout V4.1 SP2 HF4 and I have downloaded the firmware D4XX> V4.1.2.3 > PN_V2.2 SCOUT_V4_1_SP2_HF4_ADD_ON.zipextractall files into CF card and copy alsothe old User/Key/Install folders into CF card. After this I have inserted the CF card into Simotion slot and power it on, but all Ledsstays on (orange color) except the"Ready" Led that flashes(7 seconds on ->2 short flashes -> 3 seconds off) and never starts the Simotion. I follow the description in the "Commissioning manual SIMOTION D4x5, chapter 8.3" but I don´t know where is my mistake! I´ll be very glad with some directions ... Best regards, Denker

Well, multiple numbers are shown randomly (2, 8, d, 9, 7, ...) on the BCD displaywhen the CF card is inserted into Simotion slot. But, returning to write the "original" (old)firmware filesin the same CF card, the Simotion starts correctly. What other informations can I get to help in the diagnostic ? Regards

Sorry my mistake, but I´m using SCOUT V4,1 SP4 (instead V4.1 SP2 as I have mentioned before). In the Scout DVD there are two Firmware folders from V4.1.4.1 : 1) V4.1.4.1 > PN_V2.1_and_DP > D4XXX_SINAMICS_V2.5 > all firmware files 2) V4.1.4.1 > PN_V2.2 > D4XXX_SINAMICS_V2.5 > all firmware files So, which one should I use (from PN_V2.1_and_DP or PN_V2.2 folder) ? How to know ? And is the bootloader file included to write boot sector ? Just to remember my first post "How can I activate the Software Limit Switch using <Axis>.swlimit.state system var in a LAD program ?" Thanks in advance. Greetings, Denker

Normally youselect the PN-version during you insert a new D4x5 in the SCOUT project tree. If you want to check which version was used in your project double click on D4x5 in HW Konfig To write a new boot sector use SCOUT (Options --> write boot sector) Regards Jerry

ms... Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	I had heard indirectly from Siemens that you should use a 512Mbyte CF card for that firmware version. If you have one available, I would recommend you try that. It was mentioned infootnote 3)on page 13 in the compatibility doc, "3) CF > 64 MB recommended" ms...

Today Imade another testoffirmware upgradeusing the PN_V2.1 SINAMICS V2.5 firmware versionand Iwrote in the CF card the new V2.07 boot sector using SCOUT with no problems. Then, the Simotionstarted apparently right. CF card data: 6AU1400-2KA00-0AA0 SIMOTION D4XXX INCL. SINAMICS 2.2 30.08.2005 V 03.02.01.00 Cod. SDCFB-64-201-80 ---------------- SIMOTION D435> 6AU1 435-0AA00-0AA1 But now I´m having another problem. After I have configurate the D435,Sinamics_Integrated and the Axis as recommended in "Simotion Guideline PFD file" the LEDs statusshows: RDY - continuous Green, STP - continuousOrange and the BCD display shows number 6, but when I try to switch CPU to RUN, two errorsare shown (see image1.jpg) and the CPU is switched back to STOP mode. Take a look on the Diagnosticbuffer why the CPU goes in STOP Mode or post the complete Diagnosticlog here so we can analyze it. Regards Christoph
