I need to sinchronize the date and time of HMI with the one of PLC

PLC is a s7300 cpu 3152 Dp and as HMI i use a PC with wincc v13 runtime,

I follow this document and the method described on chapter 5.2

I can read the variable from PLC and if i create a field date and time i can see inside the same data of PLC. But the data and time of HMI project don't chenge, ad still the same data of the PC where the runtime is installed.

The date and time reported on alarm table is the the date of pc (my purpouse is just sincronize the date of alarm with cpu time)

This method can work with a pc and runtime or work onli on HMi panels.

There another system for update the date and time from PLC on a PC with runtime?

My hardware is HMI= IPC277E 19'' Touch PN/IE and PLC=CPU 315-2 PN/DP

What i don't understand is if with IPC277E, and Wincc V13 Runtime advanced, i can use the same method for synchronization like if PC is a HMI panel, or if i have to use a different strategy.

With area pointer Date/Time.

In the list of devices, on HMI Operator devices, i can see SIMATC RT Advanced. That means the method is valid for synchronize the date/time of my IPC277E? I try to do it but seem the method don't work. Which method is suitable for date time synchronization for PC and Wincc Runtime advanced? 

Showing the system error in alarm list i got the following message:

Date/Time could be not set, error code: 1314,1

After testing and looking the FAQ i think the problem is set the windows 7 right for change date and time.

I'm not windows specialist and i have not idea what exactly is a "right" for change the date and time.

But some step are not very clear.

Now i'm try to test the project on my office pc, because the plant PC have to go by customer

1)First step is add to a group "Siemens TIA Engineer" my user. I found it already done

2)On User right assignement into Change system time" policy, i have to assign the group Siemens TIA Engineer

At this time the PC must to be restart.

But the problem still... anyone have idea about that?

I solve the problem thank to service support.

For everybody have my same issue here the solution.

The problem was the windows policy right, so the FAQ to refer is the 59203176

The FAQ is not really clear and the main point for me, as administrator of PC was the second part of FAQ : 2 You are logged on to your computer with a windows administrator

-Click on windows START button

-On execute field enter secpol.msc and execute it as administrator

-Open the folder "Local Policies"

-Open the sub folder "Security Options"

-On right side of the windows appears the system policy

-Double click on policy "Accounrts: Run all administrators in administrator confirmation mode"

-A popup window appear. Select the radio button "Disable"

-Confirm all, close all program and restart the PC

After these operations my PLC was able to change the data of My PC
