Upgrade of SIMATIC Step 7 and WinCC

The system has one engineering station with STEP V5.5 and WinCC RT and RC V7.0 + SP1; and three operator stations with WinCC RC V.7.0 + SP1, all installed on windows XP. Now, I am planning to upgrade the whole system to TIA Portal V15.1. Please provide me with some guide/manual to implement this upgrade; something covering topics such as how to migrate the configuration files from STEP 7 and WinCC and how to combine them in TIA Portal.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 4/25/2025 Posts: 15355 Rating: (1895)	Hello Teslar first you have to migrate your WInCC V7.0 project to the Version V7.4 SP1 (of course you need a Installed Version V7.4 SP1 --> I would work with a step between with 7.2 because there the Unicode functions come with). Then if you have a working Version of your Project in V7.4SP1 you can migrate it with TIA Portal V15.1 WinCC Professional. Bye Murof
