upgrade project tia portal V12 -> V13

I have installed all software, but i have some problems... i cant upgrade a project. (see screenshot) can someone help me please? Did you previously install WinCC Professional V12 or just Basic V12? I had V12 basic installed and upgraded to V13 professional. I still have the problem since I do not have the proper WinCC license. In V13, they are separate purchases from what I can tell. In V12, you could purchase a package deal with both the PLC & HMI portions for the same package price. There might be a package upgrade, but I did not order it as a package not thinking it through I suppose. In your F1-help ->installed software, what WinCC is showing installed and what are you trying to open?

The installed software is Step 7V13 and wincc advanced V13. can it be that wincc proffesional V12 has to be installed also to perform a project upgrade?

In a sideways kind of logic, it would make sense you need both the original and the new software in order to upgrade it. That's the problem I have. I converted from WinCC Flex 2008 to WinCC V12 Pro but I want it in WinCC V13 Pro. I would really like to hear what you do to resolve it.

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, if you only have WinCC Advanced V13 you can't open a project with a wincc runtime professional system. You'll need WinCC Professional V13 or ask someone to delete the runtime system in the original project. you don't need a V12-software to open or upgrade the project to v13. K!ke
