Upgrade Simovert MC to Sinamics

Hi

I have SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES 6SE7018-0EA51-Z  including the option cards C23+G61 with Motor 1FT6082-8AC71-6SD3-Z

MASTERDRIVES MOTION CONTROL COMPACT UNIT CONVERTER3 380-480V AC, 50/60HZ, 8A
C23: Measuring transducer for resolver without pulse encoder simulation SBR1 Slot C
G61: Terminal expansion module EB1 inserted

As the SINAMICS system has a different system structure than SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES, is 1X1 migration to SINAMICS possible?

What the correct Sinamics model I need 

Because of the completely different software structure,  is there migration tool from MASTERDRIVE parameters to SINAMICS parameters?

From the details you provided, it includes converter capacity & motor details, it looks like motion control so Sinamics S120 drives system is considered, I presume present it is working on Profibus DP, so depending upon your need/configuration you may select CU unit either DP or PN based configuration. line module, MM & SMC work on DriveCLiQ system.

If it is only one axis to be control user can select CU S310-2 or if multi axes needs to be controlled can select CU320-2.

Sinamics Smart line module = 6SL3130-6AE15-0AB1

Sinamics S120 Motor module = 6SL3420-1TE21-0AA1

Since motor has multipole resolver as feedback device, you need to select SMC10 so that motor resolver can be interfaced to CU unit via SMC10.

It's one axis only with Braking Unit, I'll keep our current Braking Unit to use it with Sinamics

There is no Profibus or PN connected with this drive

Hello,

You can retain braking resistor i.e. 6SE7023-2ES87-2DC0, 20 OHM, but need to replace braking module MLFB number is 6SL3400-1AE31-0AA0

You can connect present reolver to SMC10  6SL3055-0AA00-5AA3

To replace EB1 i.e. 2 nos analog out put 11 bit + sign, you need to select TM31 MLFB number 6SL3055-0AA00-3AA1.

Since it is only one axis controlled via DI/DO, I suggest you to check also Sinamics blocksize format power module PM240-2 6SL3210-1PE18-0xL1 (LO) 6SL3210-1PE21-0xL1 (HO) [depends upon duty cycle], with CU310-2, CUA31, SMC10, TM31 etc. etc.

Please consult your nearest Siemens support center for more details about the compatibility issue from application point of view.

For this particular case, if the required control type is Torque Control, would it be possible to use [PM240-2 + CU250-2] instead of using [PM240-2 + CU310 + SMC10 + TM31] ??

As CU250-2 can cover the required 3xDI, 3xDO, 2xAO without the need of additional expansion modules.

Also can CU250-2 drive 1FT6 Servo Motors or there is a restriction on this ?? Please advise.
