Dear All,

I have a project with Wicc Professional, and a WinCC RT with V13.(PLC +HMIs and Scada PC).

I want to upgrade to V19. If I open and try to convert the V13 project with V19 TIA, I have the msg that the V13 WinCC Professional is missing and the converison failed.

I have to uninstall the WinCC Professional V19 and install the V13? After Uninstall the V13 and install the 19 again?

What is the procedure? Thank you in adavance!

Unfortunately when migrating/upgrading a project, the initial software used to create the project from scratch must be available in in the OS and a migration tool will support the process. 

If one OS is in use then after exporting and creation of migration file in the original project created software then the original project V13 could be uninstall and V19 installed. However, for optimal approach a VM is preferable where the different software can be installed.

If I have TIA with Wincc Prof 13 installed, and I will install TIA V19 without Wincc Prof,

I will start to open V13 project with V19. I will save it, and I will try to read in a system with TIA with WinCC Prof 19.

Can work like this?

This is not correct
For upgrade you do not need the old SW installed

 

But the Project must be Format V13 SP2, V13.0 without SP is not supported for Project Upgrade

We cannot talk about migration because I have V13 SP2 and I want to convert to V19. V13 SP2 migrate just some types of project like Manager, WinCC Felexible, *.hmi projects....
