Upgrade WinCC V5.0 to V7

In order to upgrade to version 7, do we have to do it in two steps (5->6 and the 6-7)? What about the Power Tags packet? Will there be any need for changing the application or can it be directly used in the new version?

CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 12/11/2024 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi Moreno, not sure to uderstand very well the question, - you right, need migrate into v7with 2 step as well as you described - about 64 Power Tags, i think you are talking about licence, you need the same: upgrade them into v6 at first, and upgrade again into v7 at the end (not sure there are upgrade directly into v7 from v5) Regards

The WinCC RT (65536) licence is upgraded to version 7 but the authorization check say that I am missing a server licence. In the original V5.0 RT there was no server licence, only the RT. Have I installed to many options or do we have to buy another packet? And another thing. In the V5.0 RT it was possible to make small changes in the configuration (to work with the configuration module for a limited time). Has that possiblity disappeared in V7?
