Upload PLC Program From MP 277

s_vb Bronze Member Joined: 10/24/2011 Last visit: 3/9/2023 Posts: 257 Rating: (1)	Hello Everyone, I have configuration on site which is as follows: 1) MP 277 10" (Profibus Node - 2) 2) IM 153-1 DP (Profibus Node - 3) Now, thing which is new to me is, I am able to see PLC program in accessible node. Node which I see is HMI's node address . How can I upload/download PLC program from/to HMI's MMC card?? Is there any software upgradation requirement?? Thanks, Shailesh

Thanks, Shailesh Hello, You will need to use Bus Connectors with PG sockets for both PLC and OP. If you connected your PC / PG on the profibus network ans set the PC/PG ineterface correctly then you will be able to upload or download the PLC program by connecting the PC adapter or Profibus cable (in case of using Simatic PG) to the bus connector of Simatic Panel. And please note that old type of PC adapters "6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0" supports working with profibus networks up to 1.5Mbps baud. Which means if baud rate setting is higher than 1.5Mbps, it will not work. New PC adapters "6GK1571-0BA00-0AA0" supports up to 12 Mbps. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Shailesh ? It's not possible to upload PLC program from or download to MMC of HMI. In my pervious post, I was talking about establish communication to PLC via HMI. (S7-Routing).

And I told already, in panel there is no CPU present. Only HMI and IM151-3 DP card in present.. Then How is program running? And In harware configuration, IM 153-1 DP (remote I/O card) is commuicating with HMI.(As there is no CPU in between). Is there any other way for this? How it had been done. Thanks, Shailesh

Of course they can't be downloaded to that node either 2) How can I upload/download PLC program from/to HMI's MMC card? What for do you want to make it? Generally Ayman is right, you can however use СА extension card for MP and store Step7 project just as set of files like on your PC. This mechanism can be used as if several specialist do PLC commissioning. 3) Can you upload HW Konfig and screenshots of what blocks you can see? As i understand 151-3+MP277 is not enough for work. But i'm not 100% sure 4) @Ayman, please pay attention, that OP interfaces don't pass 24V on MPI/PROFIBUS socket. That means that even if you use connector with PG socket and insert adapter in that socket it just wont work. It can be solved of course by supplying external 24V to corresponding pins or using another interfacing device, but usually problem is solved just if PLC's connector has PG socket.
